Blue Jean Basics

Blouse: Old Navy :: Skirt: X2 :: Shoes: Nine West

This is a simple casual look that consists of basics that everyone should have in their wardrobe. This paisley printed denim shirt works in the same way that a regular denim shirt would so, you can pair it with virtually anything and still come out with a great coherent look. I found these great block heeled pumps for little of nothing at Ross a few years ago. Thicker heels always make for a more comfortable day, so its always a great idea to opt for the thick, low heels if your going to be doing a lot of running around. The denim on denim look isn't going away anytime soon, I'm okay with that because I'm obviously a fan of the trend. The important thing to remember if your going to try the double denim look for yourself is the wash of your jean pieces. This trend works best if you pair a dark wash and a light colored wash. If your denim is to similar in color you might end up looking like your wearing one of those bad FUBU jean jacket outfits from the late 90's/early 2000's...and I don't mean bad in a good way. Incorporating bright pops of color and prints with your shoes and accessories will also assist in keeping your look current.
