Blazer: Ralph Lauren :: Dress: Thrifted :: Shoes: Charles Jourdan
I LOVE this look! This has to be very close to the top of my list of favorite posts. I love finding unique pieces, and that's exactly what I found when I spotted this amazing rope and chain printed dress at one of my favorite thrift spots. I was a little on the fence about it until I tried it on and knew that it would be perfect with this Ralph Lauren blazer. The key to finding great pieces when shopping, especially thrifting, is trying on everything. I know it can be a hassle but, no matter how beautiful something is, if the fit isn't right, it won't look good. These blue suede Charles Jourdan beauties completed this look perfectly. I love these shoes so much that I searched for months until I found the black pair. It wasn't an easy task, but, I succeeded so I'm sure you'll be seeing those soon as well. I added the red bag just to break up some of the monotony of the blue and to bring out some of the red accents in the dress. Ever since the 12th grade when I found out that I was short (I was referred to as "that little short girl" twice in one week so I knew it had to be true) I've shied away from things with dropped waists because I felt like they made me look shorter than I already am. I've found that this dress has forced me to have a change of heart so I'll be trying other pieces with dropped waists in the future.
